Praise God. We do NOT need any more donations for Project Hope. We are ready to rock and roll Saturday morning! Please join us in January to start sorting more new donations at that time. We are setting up permanent clothing closets at a number of schools and will need continued New and Like New clothing during the year! PROJECT HOPE UPDATE

If you want to donate to Project Hope, we are in need of

* restaurants to feed our volunteers the week of Nov 7 – 12
* monetary donations via paypal on our website
* toys (new or like new) for toddlers to teens (teen boys often get forgotten)
* gifts for parents that the children get to select for them (small items only, please), and
* like new or new clothes 2T and larger only- NO ADULT CLOTHING.
(we are always low on bottoms for boys in sizes 7-14).

DONATIONS NEED TO BE DROPPED AT THE ANNEX BUILDING NOV 7 – 11 FROM 9 A.M. – 6 P.M. THE EARLIER IN THE WEEK, THE BETTER!

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ADULT CLOTHING OR INFANT CLOTHING 2T AND SMALLER! Currently, we have an abundance of these sizes. If this changes, I will let you know.

Every Monday in October, we will have the warehouse open at 7351 Root Road Spring 77389 for sorting and receiving donations!

Monday, October 10, 9 a.m. – noon
Monday, October 17, 9 a.m. – noon
Monday, October 24, 9 a.m. – noon
Monday, October 31, 9 a.m. – noon

If you have an organization/group that would like to have the warehouse opened for an evening sort time, please let us know. We will make arrangements. This is a great way for teens to get needed service hours!

Project Hope volunteer schedule will be posted soon. However, please mark your calendars for Sunday, November 6 – Saturday, November 12 if you’d like to help! We will need lots of hands this week!

We are gearing up for Project Hope, our free Christmas store, and we have a BIG sort day on Monday, October 3rd. Shift times are 9 a.m. – noon and 6 -9 p.m. We need all the hands we can get. Bring a friend! We are at 7351 Root Road Spring, TX. Very close to the intersection of Kuykendahl and Dowdell. At 10 a.m., we will break for a few minutes to discuss how you can become more involved in MHM. If this interests you, please be there at 10 a.m. to learn more!

We will also receive donations on that day. We are limited on space, so please take a careful look at what we need. Thank you!

WE KINDLY ASK THAT YOU ONLY DONATE THE ITEMS ON THE FOLLOWING LIST AS WE ARE LIMITED IN SPACE AND VOLUNTEERS TO PROCESS OTHER ITEMS. THANK YOU!

NEW or LIKE NEW toys for toddler – teens for Project Hope coming up on Nov 12. Please bag toys in individual bags if they have multiple pieces and label. That way we won’t lose a piece!

NEW or LIKE NEW Gifts for Moms and Dads (Smaller items are preferable due to space limitations)

Gently used, LIKE NEW or new only clothes. No stains, rips, smells, or faded items, please. No professional attire or out of style/date clothing. We are clothing toddlers to teens.

Due to a limited amount of time and volunteers, it is a huge help if donations are pre-sorted by size and gender and clearly labeled on the outside of the bag.

Things we CANNOT use right now:
Larger items (large artwork, mirrors, etc.)
Furniture (We can refer you to a great ministry for this)
Non-working items including toys without batteries
Incomplete toys or pieces of items

Volunteers Needed in Magnolia

Society of Samaritans is in need of volunteers today. Please go to the SOS Fire Center located at 38207 FM 1774 in Magnolia. They do a wonderful job serving families in need all year long. We will be dropping off lots and lots of toiletries to them this week from Moms Helping Moms. However, what they really need right now is just one hour of your time. If you are reading this, why not take your family over to help for an hour or so.

Toiletries

We have collected lots of toiletries this week that will be given to SOS (Society of Smaritans) in Magnolia. They are set up to continually serve the fire victims and were thrilled to know we would be dropping these items off to them. Thank you for those who have given. We are still accepting monetary donations via our PayPal link. We continue to be amazed at the generosity of so many!
